Resveratrol Supplements

There is a whole story out there about resveratrol supplements that you don't know. With the recent blitz of media and internet advertising, resveratrol may be the most overhyped supplement ever. Why overhyped?

The story goes something like this:

1. Resveratrol comes from wine. But wine has 10-100 times less resveratrol in glass than most resveratrol supplements have in a pill. See a problem here?

2. Resveratrol gets fluffed up with study after study from the scientific literature. Most of these are irrelevant. See why here.

3. Not all resveratrol science is off-base. Click here for the good, the bad, and the ugly of resveratrol science claims.

4. Even if resveratrol really is as super-effective as it claims, it is not without side effects. Get the story here on what we don't know about how it impacts your body.

5. Resveratrol is a phytoestrogen. Need I say more?

6. Studies in humans are ongoing. On this page, I make the case against being a human guinea pig.

And if all this is a mystery to you, look here to answer: What is resveratrol?
