Foods containing vitamin E

Below is a list of foods containing vitamin E. These foods were specifically chosen for offering high levels of vitamin E. The USRDA for natural tocopherol is 20 mg or 30 IU.

Recommended intake for antioxidant protection (what I take): 130 mg (200 IU).

One thing that jumps out at me from this list is the diversity. This compound is just about everywhere in the food chain, but nowhere is it found in particularly high levels. As much as I love avocadoes, I find it difficult to imagine eating 2 a day to get my full dose of vitamin E.

We're not talking about vitamin C here where you can just drink your orange juice and forget about it. And this is exactly why supplementation is critical in order to get the most efficient antioxdiant protection.
